Spring Bulb Planting

On Sat 4th Feb, volunteers from Friends Of Conway Park created a flower border at the north end of the park. You can find the border just to the right of the steps leading down to Sharoe Brook below near the railway bridge.

Cadley FC had already planted snowdrops and daffodils a couple of years ago and FOCP have now cleared the area which had become overgrown and planted native bluebells and more daffodils to brighten up the raised bank during the forthcoming spring.  Our thanks go to the two local residents who kindly donated the bluebells and to PCC who donated the daffodils.

In the future we hope to focus on this area to create a Community Garden for the enjoyment of all. More to follow in future posts.

The public footpath below this bank is due to be enlarged and regraded over the next few weeks and hopefully, continuous upgrades such as these will create a better environment for all to enjoy.

Anyone wishing to join our group would be very welcome to contact us at any time.We organise litter picks, balsam bashes and undergrowth clearance/ garden maintenance, usually, twice every year.

Come and spend a friendly sociable hour with us and help to maintain the park for the benefit of all.
