Preston City Council’s landscape architects are currently working on a draft plan to show some ideas of park improvements. This should be ready to view at the end of February when we will be taking it out and about for public consultation. Watch this space
Whilst we are sure you are all delighted by the new path from Belton Hill to Walker Lane (and we would like to express our sincere thanks to LCC’s Public Rights of Way team for it), we are also aware of a few issues that
The Lancashire County Council contractors are back this week. They will hopefully complete the Belton-Hill to the Railway bridge footpath today. They will then start on the footpath running along the brook from the Railway to Walker Lane.
Works on the path have been halted temporarily due to the large volume of rain recently. The stone on the paths can’t be compressed when the ground is so completely sodden. Its unfortunate as we were hoping that we’d have a completed path by xmas.
It might not seem like anything much is happening at the moment, but your Friends group is working hard behind the scenes gathering info and ideas to put forward to you, the local community. We’ll be in touch in the New Year with some proposals,
