Coronation Walk planting

We are delighted to announce the completion of the Coronation Walk first phase development in the north end of the park. We have now successfully created three large flower borders, one around each of the three benches which are all supplied with flagged stone bases.

Spring Bulb Planting

Footpath resurfacing works

Lancashire Constabulary are looking for volunteers to join their Community Road Watch Scheme. Community Road Watch involves Police working together with local communities at sites where people are worried about road safety. Volunteers are trained by us and work with local officers to address various

Anti Social Behaviour

We recently had a meeting with our local Police Community Support Officers regarding anti social behaviour in and around the park – stones and bottles being thrown, drug use on the park and drug running down the ginnel on Conway Drive, damage to the pavilion

New footpaths now open

We were extremely proud to ‘officially’ open the new footpaths last week. It’s taken a lot of effort to raise the funds and get this project complete but already the paths are being well used so it seems to be worth it.

Playground Improvements

Work has commenced on the playground, with some of the old equipment being removed and replaced by newer more exciting stuff.  Drainage will also be improved.  Weather permitting, this should be complete by Xmas…. what a lovely gift for us all!
